Kashmir 7-Day Itinerary: Srinagar, Gulmarg & Pahalgam
A week gives you time for the lake, mountain excursions and a stay in the Lidder Valley. This example keeps four nights in Srinagar and two in Pahalgam.

The route at a glance
This is the route used in our seven-day private holiday: three nights in Srinagar, two in Pahalgam and a final night back in Srinagar. It keeps the last night in the city for a Srinagar departure. Your arrival time, road conditions and preferred pace can change the order.
Day 1: Srinagar arrival & lakefront
Meet your driver at Srinagar railway station or airport and transfer to your hotel. Check in and visit the Dal Lake promenade if time permits. A shikara ride is optional and costs extra.
Day 2: Gulmarg day trip
Travel to Gulmarg and return to Srinagar. Enjoy the mountain scenery; gondola tickets, snow bikes, guides and any required winter access vehicle are separate.
Day 3: Sonmarg, subject to access
Visit Sonmarg and return to Srinagar if the road and permissions allow. If access is restricted, spend the day on Srinagar sightseeing instead. Paid local activities are optional.
Day 4: Srinagar to Pahalgam
Drive into the Lidder Valley, check into your Pahalgam stay and enjoy time by the river. Roadside stops depend on conditions and journey time.
Day 5: Pahalgam at your pace
Enjoy the nearby town and riverside. Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari excursions can require a separately paid local union taxi and entry fees; they are optional, subject to access.
Day 6: Return to Srinagar
Return to Srinagar for your final night. Visit accessible gardens or the lakefront with time for shopping. Admission tickets and boat rides are separate.
Day 7: Breakfast & departure
Check out after breakfast and transfer to your agreed Srinagar airport or railway drop point. Departure timing is planned around your flight or train; allow extra winter road time.
Keep space for the Kashmir between the sights
Discuss a tea or bakery stop, a lakefront walk or time to explore the city without adding another long drive. A short holiday does not need to fill every hour. Put the experiences that matter most to your group into the plan, then leave space for rest.
Check the complete holiday price
Compare the same traveller count, room arrangements, number of nights and meal plan. Our package estimates show one total for the selected group, including the main private vehicle. Hotel breakfasts and dinners do not automatically include lunch, café stops or special meals. Paid tickets and local activity transport need to be listed explicitly.
